Justification For Voting Delays Begins
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports:
About 630,000 more people are eligible to vote May 2 than in the 2002 primary for governor and other statewide offices, but it's uncertain whether the passion of the new voters in the 2004 election will carry over to this year.Given that turnout is historically much lower in non-presidential election years, there will be absolutely no excuse for the delays we will likely experience this November. Hopefully Blackwell doesn't try to rig this one by misappropriating voting machines again.
As of Tuesday, Ohio's voter rolls were 7.74 million, compared with 7.11 million for the 2002 election for governor, said James Lee, spokesman for Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell.
Ohio has been a joke when it comes to voting rights. Excuses already?
Let me guess, one voting machine in OTR and 25 out in Hyde Park?
I have to think Blackwell is going to be able to right this one for himself and the Republicans? How can he lose when he's dishonest and he is given the authority to count the ballots... Oh, that reminds me of the crushing defeat of RON. That stung.

Well, the smart thing would be for the Dems and independents to vote in the Republican primary to get Blackwell out. If he has no invested interest in November, meaning Petro is the GOP candidate for governor, he won't play around with the voting process.
If he wins in two weeks, there will be no doubt that he'll find some way to skim votes on to his plate through some loop hole in the Diebold programming
